The city has been organizing this event since 2018 as part of its support project for promising small business sectors, aiming to strengthen the capabilities of Busan's craft beer companies and expand the sales channels for related small business owners.

Last year, the event was held at the Busan Cinema Center, and this year it will take place at the BEXCO outdoor plaza in conjunction with 'Festival Siwol,' Korea's first convergence exhibition and convention event.

The event will feature the main program, including the 'Busan Craft Beer Evaluation,' which selects the company that brewed the best craft beer of the year among Busan's leading craft beers, along with a variety of related side events.

Main programs include the opening ceremony, opening performance, craft beer evaluation, and craft beer pop-up store.

In particular, as this year's event is held in connection with 'Festival Siwol,' visitors can expect an even more enjoyable experience through various hands-on activities and food offerings.

The 'Craft Beer Evaluation' will consist of a two-day 'general audience' judging from October 5 to 6, and a panel of five 'experts' on the 6th. The professionalism and popularity of each participating company's craft beer will be evaluated, and one company that brewed the best beer of the year will be selected. The winner will receive a 'Winner Certificate,' and the awards ceremony will be held on the special stage at the BEXCO outdoor plaza on the 6th.

Visitors who wish to participate in the craft beer judging on the day of the event can purchase a judging kit on-site.

In addition, side events include a pop-up store promoting and selling products from small business owners who participated in the city's support programs, a flea market for promising businesses related to unique desserts, promotional booths from the Small Business Comprehensive Support Center and Urban Small Business Promotion Center, and experience booths such as making decorative lights and rubber shoes.

A flea market featuring prospective entrepreneurs from the New Business Startup Academy will also be held.

Shin Changho, Director of the Digital Economy Office of Busan City, said, "This event will provide an opportunity for Busan's craft beer companies to strengthen their capabilities and pioneer new markets, and serve as a festival showcasing a variety of foods and experiences from outstanding small business owners to citizens." He added, "The city will continue to support this event so that it can grow into Asia's leading craft beer challenge."
