KG Mobility (hereinafter KGM) announced on the 2nd that it sold a total of 7,637 units in September, including 4,535 units domestically and 3,102 units exported.
This performance represents a 20% decrease compared to the same month last year. The reduction in sales volume was largely due to fewer working days during the Chuseok holiday.
Domestic sales showed a recovery trend, increasing by 11.5% year-on-year as Actyon sales rose. The new Actyon sold 1,686 units. Since its launch last month, cumulative domestic sales reached 2,466 units, driving the upward trend in domestic sales.
Exports decreased by 43.7% year-on-year due to reduced production volume caused by fewer working days. However, KGM is optimistic about the second half of the year as Actyon shipments have begun to the UK, Hungary, and other countries.
KGM is accelerating efforts to diversify its global sales network, develop customized products for overseas markets, and expand entry into new markets. Last month, it invited representatives from dealerships worldwide to Korea for an overseas dealership conference. The event introduced the Actyon, which is about to have its global launch, and shared KGM’s new brand strategy and mid-to-long-term product development plans along with test drives.
A KGM official stated, "Although sales decreased compared to last year due to reduced production volume from fewer working days, domestic sales showed a recovery trend with an increase year-on-year as Actyon received favorable reviews in the market. We will increase sales not only in the domestic market but also through timely supply of Actyon via a stable production system and differentiated marketing strategies as Actyon prepares for its full-scale global launch."
