Suseong Webtoon, which has a semiconductor inspection parts company as a subsidiary, announced on the 2nd that its subsidiary Future Hightech is expected to see significant sales growth with testers for HBM3E.
This is because related parts have been adopted for the mass production and expansion lines of HBM3E.
Future Hightech recently succeeded in developing testers for HBM3E in collaboration with Digital Frontier, and the supply of related equipment and parts is scheduled.
A company official stated that if the demand for HBM translates into sales as expected, it could reach up to 50 billion KRW. Since the burn-in testers for HBM are developed and applied through prior consultation with the original equipment manufacturers, significant performance improvement is expected unless there are special variables.
Market research firm Gartner forecasts that the HBM market, which was only $1.1 billion in 2022, will grow to $5.1 billion by 2027. Additionally, with analyses suggesting an operating profit margin exceeding 50%, it is widely expected that SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics will earn enormous profits.
