The Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education has announced that it will recruit 113 teachers for public and private secondary schools for the 2025 academic year.

There will be 45 teachers recruited for 16 subjects in public schools, and 68 teachers for 19 subjects in private schools. The number of public secondary school teachers has decreased by 18 compared to last year's 63. Among public secondary school teachers, 4 positions will be reserved for applicants with disabilities, following the Ministry of Education's "Total Quota System for Disability Recruitment."

For private schools, 16 school corporations have requested the Office of Education to conduct recruitment. The first written exam will be held jointly with public schools, and subsequent exams will be administered either by the Office of Education or by the corporations themselves.

Applicants must hold at least a secondary school associate teacher certificate in the subject to be recruited, or a teacher certificate for a minor subject. Those who are expected to obtain their teacher certificate by February 2025 are also eligible to apply.

Applications must be submitted online only through the Daejeon Metropolitan Office of Education's online teacher recruitment system from the 14th to the 20th. The first exam will be held on November 23, and the results will be announced on December 26.
