Changwon Special City, 24th Masan Gagopa Chrysanthemum Festival ... "Hang Your Wish Lanterns" 'Hanging Wish Lanterns'

A 750-meter-long “Chrysanthemum Light Wish Road” will be created along the connecting path between the 3.15 Marine Nuri Park and Happo Riverside Park, the exhibition venues for the Chrysanthemum Festival. Decorated with wish lanterns and chrysanthemum flower beds, the “Chrysanthemum Light Wish Road” will be open for visitors during the festival period from October 26 to November 3.

Applications for “Hanging Wish Lanterns” can be made by visiting the Changwon City website or scanning the QR code on the poster, and anyone living in Korea can apply on a first-come, first-served basis up to 3,000 people. Each wish lantern costs 10,000 won, and you can either write your own wish message or choose from options such as health, family, happiness, or academics. This “Hanging Wish Lanterns” event carries a message of encouragement to fulfill the hopes and wishes of local residents together.

In particular, a special area will be set up on the Wish Road for students and parents ahead of the November college entrance exam. Visitors can write their wishes on the “Autumn Chrysanthemum College Exam Wish Board” placed along the Wish Road and make a wish.

Park Dongjin, Director of Culture, Tourism and Sports, said, “With the start of the wish lantern event, we are accelerating preparations for the Chrysanthemum Festival. I hope you will come and see the brightly shining wishes along the Wish Road filled with the hopes of our citizens.”
