7-Eleven has introduced ‘Siwonhan Dongchimi,’ the industry’s first dongchimi pouch drink, as a differentiated winter food product. While existing pouch drinks are mostly light beverages meant to be mixed with ice cups, this product uniquely contains pure dongchimi extract?usually considered a side dish?in a pouch drink format, allowing consumers to enjoy it like a beverage at an affordable price around 1,000 KRW.


Siwonhan Dongchimi features a deep and refreshing taste, made by fermenting domestically sourced radish and sun-dried salt using traditional methods for 30 days. It contains the pure dongchimi extract from Jangchung-dong Wang Jokbal, one of Korea’s representative jokbal (pig’s trotters) brands with 38 years of history. Catering to the young generation’s ‘Eoljuka (Eol-eo Jugeodo Ice, meaning ‘I’d rather freeze than drink warm’)’ trend, it is a beverage best enjoyed cold. To celebrate the launch, 7-Eleven is offering one pack of ‘Siwonhan Dongchimi’ free to the first 50,000 customers who purchase roasted sweet potatoes until the 31st.


Lee Si-cheol, Senior MD of 7-Eleven’s Ready Meal Team, said, “With the ongoing funsumer trend involving larger sizes and unique collaborations, we came up with the fun idea of serving dongchimi in an ice cup to be enjoyed like a drink.”

Theory of SICSA is a ready meal brand that promotes healthy eating habits simply by enjoying delicious food. It enhances nutrition or reduces calories while maintaining taste by using health-oriented ingredients in everyday menus.


The brand’s first lineup includes five new products: one tteokbokki ready meal called ‘Tteok.Twi.Man (Tteokbokki, Fried Food, Dumplings)’ and four dumpling ready meals?Green Onion Meat Dumplings, Pumpkin Chicken Breast Dumplings, Buckwheat Chive Dumplings, and Crispy Flat Dumplings. They plan to continuously develop new products across various categories.


The packaging design also stands out with a predominantly black-and-white theme, conveying a luxurious and sophisticated feel, unlike typical ready meal products. A Lotte Wellfood representative said, “We strived to introduce an innovative ready meal brand that allows consumers to maintain a healthy diet simply by eating conveniently. We aim to expand the brand across various ready meal categories to become the leading health & wellness brand in the ready meal market.”

The newly released Siwon Siwon Milk Red Bean Bar is a stick bar combining milk and whole red beans. It uses a rich and savory milk flavor mix, allowing you to fully enjoy the smooth taste unique to milk. Notably, it contains 20% whole red beans, maximizing the sweet red bean flavor, and uses soft whole red beans to provide a rich texture.


The product packaging features an image of whole red beans sizzling to intuitively emphasize that it is a red bean ice cream. A Haitai Ice representative said, “We launched Siwon Siwon Milk Red Bean Bar to expand Haitai Ice’s stick bar lineup and will continue to enhance the competitiveness of our red bean ice cream brand.”

LG Household & Health Care’s premium health functional food brand Saenghwaljeongwon has launched ‘B.Pium Retinol Collagen,’ a convenient single-serve powder combining retinol and collagen.

The new product contains 1,000 micrograms (μg) of retinol per packet, a form of vitamin A known to promote collagen biosynthesis, which forms skin and mucous membranes. It uses Swiss-sourced retinol raw materials, and the collagen included is 1,000 milligrams (mg) of low-molecular-weight fish collagen with a molecular weight of 500 Dalton (Da) for rapid absorption.


In addition to collagen, it contains elastin and hyaluronic acid, the three major components of the skin dermis. The powder has a refreshing cheonggyul lime flavor and dissolves smoothly in the oral mucosa without water, making it easy and pleasant to manage inner beauty.
