The Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced on the 2nd that they arrested a man in his 20s, identified as Mr. A, on charges including obstruction of official duties causing injury.

Mr. A is suspected of injuring two police officers while fleeing a DUI checkpoint on a road in front of Seoul St. Mary's Hospital in Seocho-gu, Seoul, around 3:50 a.m. that day.

According to the police, Mr. A refused to get out of the vehicle when ordered by the officers, and when a police officer climbed onto the car hood to conduct a breathalyzer test, he attempted to flee.

His blood alcohol concentration was found to be more than twice the license cancellation limit (0.08%).
