The Special 8 Days at Paju Tongildongsan Tourism Zone: "Autumn in the Special Zone"

Gyeonggi Paju City announced on the 2nd that it will hold the 2024 Tongildongsan Tourist Zone Visit Week, "Autumn in the Special Zone," from the 5th to the 12th in the Tongildongsan Tourist Zone area to promote and revitalize the Tongildongsan Tourist Zone.

The Tongildongsan Tourist Zone, located in Seongdong-ri and Beopheung-ri in Tanhyeon-myeon, was designated in 2019 as the first border area tourist zone. It is a place where visitors can experience the diverse charm and flavors of Paju all in one spot through peace and history, ecology and arts culture, shopping, and Gyeonggi-do’s designated food culture street, "Matgoeul."

Major tourist attractions include ▲ Heyri Art Village ▲ Odusan Unification Observatory ▲ Jangdan Bean Wellbeing Maru ▲ Provence, Matgoeul ▲ National Folk Museum Paju ▲ Traditional Architecture Material Preservation Center ▲ Shinsegae Simon Paju Premium Outlets ▲ Museum Hey.

Various special events will be held at each tourist site during the visit week. Starting with the Tanhyeon-myeon Samdopum Festival (opening ceremony at 12 PM) on October 5th, events include ▲ Heyri Pan Festival (5th?13th) ▲ Odusan Unification Observatory Healing Trail Walk (5th?12th) and the special exhibition "Odusan Unification Observatory: Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow" (September 4th?October 20th) ▲ Shinsegae Simon Paju Premium Outlets’ "Minions Sparkle Store (Pop-up Store)" (3rd?27th).

Additionally, there will be ▲ receipt events to revitalize local businesses ▲ social media (SNS) events ▲ street performances ▲ Paju City Tour and Gyeonggi Northwest City Tour "Kkeun" special zone planned course discount operations, among other diverse activities.

Street performances can be seen at 2 PM on weekends and holidays. On the 5th, a magic show will be held at Shinsegae Simon Paju Premium Outlets; on the 6th and 12th, street performances will take place in Provence; and on the 9th, Samulnori and fusion gugak (traditional Korean music) performances will be held at the National Folk Museum Paju, each tailored to the characteristics of the venue.
