Israel "Iran fired 200 missiles... Intercepted"
On the 1st (local time), Iran launched a large-scale missile attack on Israel and warned that it would retaliate if counterattacked.
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps announced that it fired dozens of missiles targeting Israel that day. They claimed that this retaliation was in response to the deaths of Palestinian militant group Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh and Lebanese militant group Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, who were killed in an Israeli attack.
Israeli military radio reported that Iran fired about 200 missiles. Upon news of the imminent Iranian missile attack, air raid sirens sounded throughout Israel, and the Israeli government issued evacuation orders to all citizens.
The Israeli military intercepted a significant number of Iranian missiles and warned that Iran would pay a severe price for this attack.
