On Monday, some Verizon customers across the United States experienced service outages. This issue prevented tens of thousands of Verizon users from using their phones.

According to the Associated Press on the 1st (local time), the number of reported outages exceeded 100,000 shortly after 11 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time). Although this number significantly decreased afterward, about 48,000 users were still affected around 4 p.m.

American netizens reported service interruptions in several regions, including the southeastern United States. The Southeast is still struggling due to the aftermath of Hurricane Helen. This outage was not limited to a specific area, with many reports also coming from the West Coast, Midwest, and Northeast regions. Some iPhone users experienced an issue where the status bar displayed an 'SOS' message, indicating that the device was having trouble connecting to the mobile carrier's network.

Verizon later stated on social media, "The network outage has been fully restored. Service has returned to normal levels. If you are still experiencing issues, please restart your device." They also apologized for the inconvenience caused.
