Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Ikang) is operating a resident jury panel to review the implementation of the 8th term election pledge projects.

To ensure fairness, Seo-gu entrusted the recruitment of the jury panel to the Korea Manifesto Practice Headquarters, a specialized organization for pledge evaluation, and ultimately selected 31 residents of Seo-gu aged 18 and over.

On the 30th, Seo-gu held a resident jury appointment ceremony along with a special lecture titled "Manifesto Movement and Resident Jury," followed by an in-depth discussion on the role of the resident jury.

Seo-gu plans to hold two meetings next month to derive recommendations including evaluations and improvement plans for the 8th term election pledge projects, and to decide whether to approve the pledge adjustment plan. In particular, the results of the resident jury operation will be posted on Seo-gu’s official website to strengthen communication with residents.

Mayor Kim Ikang of Seo-gu said, “The goal of the 8th term district administration is to create a ‘Good City Seo-gu’ where kind and warm-hearted people are happy and successful,” adding, “We will actively collect residents’ opinions on the pledge projects and realize a transparent and trustworthy district administration.”
