The Gilnori Parade is an event held the day before the Baudeogi Festival opens, featuring a large-scale street march to promote community harmony and showcase diverse performances. This year, 16 groups including local citizen theater companies and the Anseong City University Student Union, as well as folk performance groups from six overseas countries, will participate.

The Gilnori features various attractions and marches including Samulnori (traditional Korean percussion), band performances, K-pop dance, and musical jump rope, with stages organized by the Namsadang Pungmul Troupe and the Anseong City University Student Union.

Notably, this year’s event will showcase a gala show by the International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts (CIOFF) folk performance groups from six countries including Indonesia, Poland, and Romania.

The city will enforce traffic control on the parade route from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the day of the event.

Kim Bora, Mayor of Anseong City, said, "I hope the Gilnori Parade, full of hope, will be a shining moment where all citizens become the protagonists of the Baudeogi Festival."
