Yangju City held the "2024 Yangju City Social Welfare Expo" over two days on the 28th and 29th at Nari Farm. Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 30th that it held the '2024 Yangju Social Welfare Expo' over two days on the 28th and 29th at Nari Farm to commemorate the 25th Social Welfare Day.
Under the theme "Meeting Social Welfare at the Celosia Festival (Meeting Angels)," the event featured participation from 25 social welfare institutions and facilities in the area, as well as township and neighborhood community security councils, operating experience and promotional booths.
The Social Welfare Expo was held simultaneously with Yangju's representative festival, the "Yangju Ten Million Celosia Festival," attracting many visitors. Activities included the 'Welfare Golden Bell' quiz contest for participants ranging from elementary school students to adults, and various celebratory performances (such as Samulnori and band performances), providing citizens with a friendly opportunity to engage with social welfare.
Chae Jeong-seon, co-chair of the Yangju Community Security Council, expressed gratitude, saying, "Thank you to everyone who prepared and supported the expo," and added, "I hope the expo approached citizens like a festival."
Mayor Kang Su-hyun of Yangju stated, "I hope the Social Welfare Expo serves as an opportunity for citizens to take greater interest in Yangju's welfare," and requested, "I ask for the interest and cooperation of local social welfare institutions, organizations, and citizens so that Yangju can become a happy welfare city."
