The donation was delivered to the Vietnamese government and others through Sungsin Vina, the local subsidiary of Jinseong International, a subsidiary of Sungsin Cement. It is mainly intended to be used for recovery in the affected areas and support for disaster victims. Notably, this donation was made in cooperation with the Vietnamese Ministry of Environment.
A representative from Sungsin Cement stated, “We extend our deepest condolences to the Vietnamese people who suffered great damage from the typhoon, and we hope this donation will help the residents of the affected areas overcome the disaster and quickly return to their daily lives. Sungsin Cement will continue to fulfill its environmental responsibilities and make various efforts for sustainable development.”
Sungsin Cement is strengthening cooperation with local cement companies by utilizing eco-friendly building material development and eco-friendly cement manufacturing technologies to address the increasing environmental issues alongside Vietnam’s rapid industrialization. Recently, with support from the Korea Environmental Industry & Technology Institute (KEITI), it has been conducting a feasibility study on a waste heat recovery power generation project together with Korea East-West Power. This environmental project aims to improve energy efficiency and reduce carbon emissions at cement plants in Vietnam.
