Coway Wins Five Awards at the 2024 IDEA Design Awards

Coway announced on the 30th that it won a total of five main awards at the ‘2024 IDEA Design Awards.’

The IDEA Design Awards is a globally prestigious design competition hosted by the Industrial Designers Society of America (IDSA). Along with Germany’s iF, Red Dot, and Japan’s Good Design Award, it is considered one of the world’s four major design awards.

With this achievement, Coway has earned the honor of winning for 15 consecutive years. This year, Coway’s award-winning works include five main awards: ▲Birex Pebble Chair ▲Birex Massage Bed ▲Icon Water Purifier 2 ▲Birex Massage Bed Controller and UX/UI (User Experience/User Interface).

The Birex Pebble Chair is a furniture-type massage chair that has been popular since its launch. It was recognized for its aesthetic and functionality, featuring a sensuous design that naturally blends into any space along with powerful massage functions.

The Birex Massage Bed is a bed-type massage device that provides deep and powerful massages while lying comfortably. It can be used as a sofa stool in daily life and easily unfolded for massage use, enhancing space utilization. With this award, the Birex Massage Bed has received its second of the world’s four major design awards, following the ‘2024 Red Dot Design Award.’

The Coway Icon Water Purifier 2 received high praise for its ultra-compact size, high hygiene, and interior design effects. With a small width of 18 cm, it allows for spacious kitchen use and offers a variety of color options to suit interior styles and preferences, establishing itself as a bestseller. The faucet, made from the eco-friendly material Tritan, is entirely replaced every year, improving hygiene, which garnered positive evaluations.
