The city of Suwon in Gyeonggi Province will recruit tenants for the station-area 'Saebit Youth Zone' from October 7 to 11.
Saebit Youth Zone is a housing complex established under the 'Suwon Youth Customized Housing Support Agreement' signed in 2022 between Suwon City and LH (Korea Land & Housing Corporation). The current supply consists of 163 units near Seryu-dong.
Suwon City provides stable housing for youth by selecting tenants for LH’s station-area non-residential remodeling youth rental housing according to its own criteria and renting at affordable prices.
The lease period is 2 years, with the possibility of two renewals (each for 2 years). For recipients of livelihood, medical, or housing benefits, the deposit is 1 million KRW, and the monthly rent is 40% of the market rate (253,300 to 273,350 KRW). For other youth, the deposit is 2 million KRW, and the monthly rent is 50% of the market rate (308,860 to 333,820 KRW).
Saebit Youth Zone No. 2 (1158-13, Seryu-dong, Gwonseon-gu) is a 3-minute walk from Seryu Station. There are 163 units of officetels, with a residential exclusive area of 23 to 28 square meters.
Youth aged 19 to 34 without housing registration in Suwon City are eligible to apply. 70% of the recruitment quota (114 people) will be selected in order of highest scores among youth meeting the 'Suwon Youth Specialized Priority Admission Criteria,' and 30% (49 people) will be selected in order of highest scores among general youth.
The Suwon Youth Specialized Priority Admission Criteria include ▲youth residing in multi-child Suwon Human Housing ▲youth residing in Share House CON ▲youth entrepreneurs or artists in companies located in Suwon City ▲youth who have left child welfare facilities (including foster care) for 5 years or more or youth preparing for independence after early discharge ▲youth who have left youth shelters for 5 years or less or have used shelters for less than 2 years ▲victims reviewed and recommended by institutions such as the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport or the Jeonse Damage Support Center (HUG).
The general youth criteria require youth registered as residents in Suwon City whose average monthly income is 120% or less of the previous year’s urban worker income and who meet the asset criteria for Happy Housing (Youth). Monthly average income must be 4,179,557 KRW or less, assets 273 million KRW or less, and vehicle price 37.08 million KRW or less.
