Hancom Launches AI Document Editing Service 'HancomDocs AI'

AI Generates Tables, Images, and Tables of Contents... Drafts Documents

Hancom has officially launched 'Hancom Docs AI' on the 30th, a subscription-based document editing service combined with generative artificial intelligence (AI).

Hancom integrated AI features into Hancom Office's 'Web Hangeul' and 'Hanform' products, showcasing functions that add AI technology while maintaining the strengths of Hancom Office. In particular, the web Hangeul applied 'Hancom Assistant,' an AI intelligent automatic document creation tool, to stabilize the service and improve usability.

A representative feature is the AI's ability to draft documents with just a simple topic. It organizes content considering the document format and key keywords. Especially, it provides AI-applied templates for various frequently used documents such as proposals, resumes, reports, official documents, and press releases. It also creates table data and images to reflect in the document, significantly reducing the time and process required for document creation. Comprehensive AI services necessary for document writing and editing are provided, including automatic table of contents generation, continuation writing, style changes, spell checking, translation, and summarization.

Real-time collaboration features have also been enhanced. Multiple users can edit documents simultaneously and instantly check changes, and communication between workers is possible through chat functions. By utilizing the conversational document navigation feature, users can quickly find necessary information in vast documents through an AI chatbot. Hanform officially includes a function where AI automatically generates quizzes by analyzing the topic or test scope specified by the user.

Existing paid subscribers of Hancom Docs can use all AI features without additional charges. Every month, 3,000 credits are provided free of charge, and credits are deducted according to the function each time AI services are used. To commemorate the official launch of Hancom Docs AI, Hancom is running an event providing 3,000 credits free of charge to free users to experience AI functions until October 9, Hangeul Day. After use, participants who complete a survey will be entered into a draw where 100 people will receive Naver Pay points worth 5,000 KRW.

Kim Yeon-su, CEO of Hancom, said, "With Hancom Docs AI, which leverages the synergy of Software as a Service (SaaS) and AI, more efficient and creative document work will be possible," and added, "We will actively expand our business beyond the public sector to the business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) markets with a diverse range of AI service products."
