Gyeonggi Tourism Organization Launches Efforts to Attract Taiwanese Tourists Last month, the filming team from Taiwan's Zhongye Wanhun University visited Gyeonggi Province for a broadcast shoot.

The Gyeonggi Tourism Organization has rolled up its sleeves to attract Taiwanese tourists.

From the 30th of this month to the 4th of next month, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization will hold the "2024 Taiwan Gyeonggi Tourism MICE Roadshow." This event aims not only to promote but also to strengthen business cooperation with the Taiwanese travel industry and to create an opportunity to promote tourism exchanges between the two countries.

The roadshow, held in Taipei, the capital of Taiwan, and Kaohsiung, the second largest city, will be attended by major Taiwanese travel agencies such as COLA, LION, and Southeast Travel Agency, as well as airlines, the Taiwan Travel Industry Association, the Kaohsiung City Government Tourism Bureau, and the Information Bureau.

In Taipei, over 100 industry officials from 60 companies will participate, while in Kaohsiung, about 80 industry officials from 42 companies will attend.

Earlier, last month, the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization supported the filming of a Gyeonggi Province special episode of "Zhong Ye Wan Hen Dai," Taiwan's most popular entertainment program.

"Zhong Ye Wan Hen Dai" is an outdoor variety show that enjoys high viewership ratings in the Chinese-speaking regions, including Taiwan, and is beloved by the public. The cast forms teams to complete various missions. Notably, top Taiwanese stars such as Jacky Wu, KID, and Kunda appear on the show. It boasts 1.83 million Facebook followers and 1.56 million YouTube subscribers.

The filming team visited major tourist sites in the province over a 4-night, 5-day schedule from the 27th to the 31st of last month, including Pyeonghwanuri Camping Site (Paju), Italian Village (Gapyeong), Aegibong Peace Ecological Park, Rice Flower Farmer (Gimpo), Oido (Siheung), Bucheon Comic Museum (Bucheon), Motgol Market, Hwaseong Eocha and Yeonmudae Archery Experience (Suwon), and Ludensia European Theme Park (Yeoju).

This special episode will be broadcast in three parts on November 2nd, 9th, and 16th. The broadcasts will be aired not only in Taiwan but also throughout the Chinese-speaking regions including China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia, and the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization expects it to widely promote various tourist destinations in Gyeonggi Province.

A representative of the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization stated, "The filming of 'Zhong Ye Wan Hen Dai' and the hosting of the Taiwan Tourism & MICE Roadshow represent Gyeonggi Province's unprecedented marketing strategy to attract Taiwanese tourists. It will be an important opportunity to build close networks with major Taiwanese travel industries and widely promote Gyeonggi's tourism infrastructure and attractions throughout the Chinese-speaking regions."
