Busan Transportation Corporation Ranks First in 'Korean Industry Customer Satisfaction' for 8 Consecutive Years... First in Urban Railway Sector

Efforts to Improve Customer Satisfaction, Including Addressing Service Blind Spots, Recognized

Busan Transportation Corporation has been selected as the most satisfying brand by customers for eight consecutive years, a first in the urban railway sector.


Busan Transportation Corporation announced on the 27th that it has achieved first place for eight consecutive years in the urban railway sector in the '2024 Korea Customer Satisfaction Index (KCSI)' survey released by Korea Management Association Consulting.


Marking its 33rd year, the 'Korea Customer Satisfaction Index' is the nation’s longest-running and most reputable comprehensive customer satisfaction index. Approximately 11,000 customers responded to the survey in three categories: overall satisfaction, satisfaction by element, and intention to reuse.


The corporation received higher evaluations compared to other companies, achieving the record of being ranked first in the urban railway sector for eight consecutive years for the first time.


In particular, the corporation was recognized for its efforts to address service blind spots by focusing on user experience, such as developing the first automated cash receipt issuance system in public transportation and launching the Pink Light (a mobile app for notifying seats reserved for pregnant women).


In addition, automated external defibrillators (AEDs) have been installed at all urban railway stations to prepare for emergencies. Joint patrols by police and urban railway security officers are being conducted, and the corporation is also leading the expansion of crime prevention facilities such as safety mirrors and safe zones for secondhand transactions, working to secure safety that citizens can truly feel.


Furthermore, the corporation is actively responding to changing demands of foreign customers by introducing unmanned currency exchange kiosks and a non-face-to-face simultaneous interpretation system, providing convenient services for passengers.
