Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Kim Jin-tae) announced on the 27th that 40,000 Dongjagae fish were released into the Seomgang riverside in Hoengseong-gun on the 26th. This release involved Dongjagae fish approximately 4 cm in length, produced by the Inland Water Resources Center, aimed at contributing to the restoration of the local ecosystem and water resource management.
Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province released 40,000 Dongjagae fish into the Seomgang riverside in Hoengseong-gun on the 26th and took commemorative photos with residents who participated in the event.
About 60 people attended the release event, including Han Chang-su, a member of the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Provincial Council, the heads of the Hoengseong-eup Village Chief Association, and students from Seongmo Kindergarten. The attendees had a meaningful time raising awareness among local residents and children about the importance of the natural ecosystem through the Dongjagae release.
A Gangwon Province official stated, “Through this release, we will continue efforts to enhance the health of water resources and preserve the local ecosystem.”
