Art in Front of Your Home... Hanshin Gongyeong Develops Keywords 'Ap, Art'

Exhibition of Kim Whanki's Artwork at the Model House

Hanshin Engineering & Construction announced on the 27th that it has developed a new keyword related to culture and arts called ‘Ap, Art’.

‘Ap, Art’ was created by separating the word Apartment. It means ‘Art right in front of the apartment,’ aiming for art that can be directly experienced in spaces closely connected to living, such as right outside the home or in the living room, rather than art viewed from afar.

Through the new keyword ‘Ap, Art,’ Hanshin Engineering & Construction plans to exhibit works by artist Kim Whanki at the model homes opening this year. Hanshin Engineering & Construction has formed a long-term partnership with the Whanki Museum, established to commemorate Kim Whanki, a pioneer of abstract art in Korea and a representative figure of modern Korean art, since 2022, and is conducting various joint projects.

Additionally, they offer discounts on art purchases for residents, sell art shop products, and plan to gradually apply various designs to community facilities and apartment common areas through further development.

Besides the partnership with the Whanki Museum, Hanshin Engineering & Construction has collaborated with graffiti artist biNoo to introduce graffiti art on apartment exterior walls, sponsored the Modern Art Show organized by the Seoul Art Association, and developed the construction safety character “Safety Helmet Doo,” among other cultural and artistic activities.

A representative from Hanshin Engineering & Construction stated, “‘Ap, Art’ reflects our commitment to enabling residents to engage with and experience art more closely in their daily lives as active participants in culture and arts,” adding, “We will continue to carry out various cultural and artistic activities for our customers under the brand philosophy of ‘Building Art, Drawing Architecture.’”

Meanwhile, Hanshin Engineering & Construction plans to sell ‘Deokgye Station Hanshin The Hue Forest (724 households)’ in Deokgye-dong, Yangju-si, Gyeonggi Province, and ‘Pyeongtaek Brain City Hanshin The Hue (a total of 991 households)’ in Joint Block 7 of Pyeongtaek Brain City this October. The model homes will be designed not just as consultation spaces for apartment sales but as places where customers can experience culture and arts.
