iToxxi Launches Pre-Registration for MMORPG ‘La Salas’ Service in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao

iToxxi Launches Pre-Registration for MMORPG ‘La Salas’ Service in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao

iToxxi (CEO Jeon Bong-gyu) announced on the 27th that it has started pre-registration for the official launch of the MMORPG 'Lasallas' in the Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau regions.

iToxxi signed a co-publishing agreement with 'Glohow (CEO Kim Hyun-jin)', a game service expert in Southeast Asia including Taiwan, to ensure successful service in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau. The companies plan to leverage their combined MMORPG expertise to carry out the service.

Glohow is a company that services several games including Kakao Games' key MMORPG titles 'Odin' and 'Guardian Tales' in Southeast Asia, including Taiwan. It is known as a global publisher providing integrated solutions for games, including strategy planning, product management, marketing, and operation services across multiple countries. In June 2020, Kakao Games acquired shares to absorb Glohow's service capabilities.

Lasallas, released domestically in March this year, was developed by Repore Games (CEO Lee Sung-jin) and is serviced by iToxxi. It is a mobile game focused on pursuing the essential fun of MMORPGs and received high praise after a record-scale update at the end of August. The game is highly regarded for returning to the fundamentals of MMORPGs?large-scale battles, cooperation, and competition?maximizing the fun of competition while keeping the process engaging. It has also earned strong user trust by fulfilling all promised updates made to users before launch.

An industry insider said, “The synergy effect is expected when the well-made MMORPG 'Lasallas', which has high user trust for its gameplay, is combined with Glohow’s service expertise in Taiwan and Southeast Asia accumulated through 'Odin'. We anticipate that Lasallas will achieve another success story.”

An iToxxi representative stated, “During the process of deciding the local game name for the Taiwan service, there was an incident where the game was already being called ‘Lasallas (拉薩拉斯)’ among Taiwanese MMORPG users, so we could not change the local game name separately. We confirmed a high level of interest as word of mouth had already spread in Taiwan even before pre-registration began.”

They added, “Based on the expectations of these users, we will combine the passion and know-how of the three companies to achieve a second leap through success in the global market.”
