Support for Export Market Development for 9 Small and Medium Enterprises
Ulsan City, together with the KOTRA Ulsan Support Center, will dispatch the 'Southeast Asia Shipbuilding and Offshore Equipment Market Development Team' from the 29th of this month to October 4th to support local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in expanding into overseas markets.
Nine local SMEs in the shipbuilding and offshore sector, including Mirae ENG Co., Ltd. and Shinhwa Intech Co., Ltd., selected through local market potential evaluations, will participate in this market development team.
Ulsan City will support the participating companies by conducting market research, matching them with buyers who have a high potential for contract success, renting consultation venues, and providing local interpretation services to ensure smooth export consultations between the companies and local buyers.
The dispatched companies will visit Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and Surabaya, Indonesia, to hold one-on-one export consultations with matched buyers and explore opportunities to enter the Southeast Asian market.
Ulsan City expects that dispatching this market development team will greatly contribute to the systematic commercialization and export marketing of companies handling shipbuilding and offshore equipment, which are the city's main export items.
An official from Ulsan City stated, "Through the dispatch of the market development team, we are actively supporting the establishment of global networks and the development of overseas sales channels for our city's SMEs," and added, "We will spare no effort to support our SMEs in pioneering the global market to help revitalize Ulsan's local economy and increase exports of local SMEs."
