Israeli Military "Simulated Maneuver Training in Lebanon"... Preparing for Ground War

The Israeli military announced on the 26th (local time) that the 7th Armored Brigade under the Northern Command, responsible for military operations near the Lebanon border, has completed a simulated exercise assuming maneuvers within Lebanon.

This appears to indicate that the Israeli military, which has been conducting large-scale bombings in Lebanon since the 23rd, is preparing for ground combat.

In a statement on the same day, the Israeli military said, "The training of the 7th Brigade, led by the Ground Forces Training Center, was completed this morning," adding, "The exercise took place in a densely forested mountainous area a few kilometers from the Lebanon border."

It further explained, "During the training period, the 7th Brigade strengthened its operational and logistical readiness for various combat scenarios expected to occur in enemy territory on the northern front."
