Inje Cultural Foundation of Inje-gun, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Governor Choi Sang-gi) announced on the 26th that it has completed preparations to welcome visitors to the ‘2024 Inje Autumn Flower Festival,’ which will be held from September 28th, two days later, until October 20th at Yongdae Tourist Area in Buk-myeon, Inje-gun.
Under the theme “Let’s Walk Only on Flower Paths in Inje,” this festival offers visitors a variety of sights by planting 200,000 wildflowers of over 30 species including chrysanthemums, verbenas, kochia, and Korean asters in a 190,000㎡ garden.
Additionally, sculptures will be installed along the garden and walking paths cultivated with various flowers and trees, each designed with different themes to provide visitors with a unique experience.
This year’s newly renovated Pine Forest (Healing Hill) features tree climbing enjoyed in nature and a forest caf? introduced for the first time at this festival, which are highly anticipated by visitors.
In particular, this festival draws attention for further enhancing visitor convenience. By scanning QR codes easily found on guide signs, leaflets, and banners throughout the festival site, visitors can view festival viewing and operational information at a glance.
Moreover, the application newly developed by the Inje Cultural Foundation (Inje Cultural Foundation) allows quick access to the latest information on restaurants and accommodations operating throughout Inje-gun, as well as taxi call services and city/intercity bus information, contributing to improved convenience for tourists and revitalization of the local economy.
Meanwhile, the Inje Cultural Foundation has prepared various events for the successful hosting of the festival. Visitors who submit receipts showing purchases of 30,000 won or more in Inje-gun during the festival period will be entered into a raffle to receive prizes. In addition, survey and visit review events will be held, offering prizes on a first-come, first-served basis, and various programs such as daily busking performances are planned.
The venue is open free of charge daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on every Saturday except October 12th, when the 42nd Hapgang Cultural Festival is held, it will be open until 10 p.m. so visitors can enjoy the autumn atmosphere late into the night.
Along with the night opening, singers such as Tak Jae-hoon, Geum Jan-di, Kim Soo-young, and Park Hyun-ho will perform special shows to create an exciting stage.
More detailed information can be found on the Inje Autumn Flower Festival website.
Choi Sang-gi, Governor of Inje-gun, said, “We will do our best in preparation and operation so that visitors who come to Inje to welcome autumn can enjoy the festival happily.”
