Dongducheon-si Disabled Protection Workshop and Sexual Violence Counseling Center Sign Business Agreement

Dongducheon City Disabled Protection Workshop and Dongducheon Sexual Violence Counseling Center signed a business agreement on the 25th in the training room on the 2nd floor of the Dongducheon Sexual Violence Counseling Center.

On the 26th, it was announced that Dongducheon City Workshop for the Disabled (Director Lee Jun-seo) and Dongducheon Sexual Violence Counseling Center (Representative Kim Yong-sun) signed a business agreement on the 25th at the second-floor training room of the Dongducheon Sexual Violence Counseling Center, with representatives and related staff from each institution in attendance.

The signing ceremony was held with the hope of promoting mutual friendship based on respect and trust between the institutions, and to establish appropriate responses and prevention measures to protect disabled victims from sexual violence.

Both institutions agreed to share human and material resources by providing necessary resources through mutual referrals and counseling and support programs for victims, depending on the situation required for each case of sexual violence against disabled persons.

Kim Yong-sun, representative of the Dongducheon Sexual Violence Counseling Center, stated, “As a specialized institution, we will do our best to prevent and respond to issues such as sexual violence and abuse of disabled persons that may occur in facilities or homes.”

A representative from the Dongducheon City Workshop for the Disabled said, “We will continue to provide education and counseling on sexual violence and abuse of disabled persons to disabled workers, trainees, and staff using the workshop so that they can live healthy lives in the future.”
