Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi Province announced on the 26th that it will start operating new rural-type transportation model routes from October 1 to improve convenience for residents in transportation-disadvantaged areas.
The newly established routes are No. 32, 32-1, and 34.
Route 32 (Jeongok~Hanbando Tongil Mirae Center) and Route 32-1 (Jeongok Eundaeri Circular) will operate 7 round trips per day. By providing public transportation services in areas with insufficient public transit, it is expected to guarantee practical mobility rights.
Route 34 will operate 7 round trips daily between Yeoncheon Station~Jaein Waterfall~Sindap-ri~Jeongok Station, alleviating inconvenience caused by the lack of public transportation between Yeoncheon Station and Jaein Waterfall on weekdays.
In particular, residents of Gomon-ri, Sindap-ri, Gungpyeong-ri, and Jangtan-ri will be able to use both Yeoncheon Station and Jeongok Station, with transportation convenience provided in connection with the subway.
An official from Yeoncheon-gun stated, “We will continuously promote transportation policies to resolve transportation-disadvantaged areas and improve the convenience of residents' daily lives,” adding, “We will do our best to realize transportation welfare in Yeoncheon-gun.”
