Repeated "I'm sorry"... Final Accomplice in 'Pattaya Drum Murder' Faces Warrant Review

The last accomplice in the Pattaya drum murder case in Thailand attended a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review) at the Changwon District Court in Gyeongnam on the 26th.


The suspect, a man in his 30s referred to as A, only repeated "I'm sorry" three times in response to reporters' questions about his motive for the murder and whether he admitted to the crime.


A is accused of killing a Korean man and abandoning the body in Pattaya, Thailand, last May.


After the crime, he fled to neighboring countries for four months before being apprehended at a hideout in Thailand on the 12th. He was then forcibly extradited to Korea via Incheon International Airport on the 24th.

Previously, on May 11 (local time), the body of a Korean man with all his fingers severed was found in a black plastic drum retrieved from a reservoir in Pattaya, Thailand.


The police, who launched an investigation, identified three suspects?A in his 30s, and B and C in their 20s?and tracked them down. B was arrested in Jeongeup, Jeonbuk, and C was apprehended in Cambodia.


B and C are currently standing trial in custody, either fully or partially denying the charges.
