Boryeong City Signs Friendship and Cooperation Agreement with Fullerton, USA

Boryeong City in South Chungcheong Province announced on the 26th that it had signed an agreement with the City of Fullerton, USA, on the 24th (local time) to promote the activation of international exchange and friendly cooperation.

Through this agreement, Boryeong and Fullerton will strengthen exchanges and cooperation in various fields such as economy, culture, and education, and further develop their friendly cooperative relationship.

An official from Fullerton visited Boryeong last April and expressed their commitment to actively support local companies in expanding overseas.

In response, Boryeong signed the agreement with the goal of promoting business opportunities and exchanges for mutual development.

Additionally, the Boryeong delegation toured Sunny Hills High School, a leading educational institution in Fullerton, as well as visited the Seongnam Business Center K-SBC, an enterprise exhibition hall in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, and the 51st LA Korean Festival.

Furthermore, to successfully promote the Gold City project, the delegation toured and benchmarked facilities in Laguna Woods Village, California, one of the top ten retirement cities in the US with a large Korean community.

Mayor Kim Dongil said, "I hope that the signing of this friendly city agreement will lead to practical exchanges in various fields such as economy, culture, and education," adding, "If we successfully apply the insights gained from benchmarking Gold City, it could become a representative solution for balanced development in Korea and the issue of declining local populations."
