First, approximately 15,000 SMEs and small business owners will participate through 94 online and offline channels. Major domestic online shopping malls such as Coupang and 11st will offer discounts of up to 50% on SME and small business products. Additionally, two live commerce platforms, Grip and Kakao, will hold four live special price and coupon issuance promotions.
At the Happy Department Store in Mokdong, Seoul, a fall-themed fashion, accessories, and clothing exhibition will be held. Furthermore, 30 companies will participate in bundle discount and gift-giving events at the Mokdong SME product exclusive store (Panpan Shop) and three duty-free shops at Incheon Airport.
Lee Dae-geon, Director of Small Business Policy at the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, said, “With Armed Forces Day designated as a temporary holiday, we prepared the extension hoping it would bring some special benefits to SMEs, small business owners, and traditional market merchants during the golden holiday period,” adding, “We hope the extension of the Donghaeng Festival will contribute to stimulating consumption.”
