"Providing Satisfaction to Families for Healing in Clean Air and Nature"
Samcheok City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Park Sang-su) announced on the 26th that it will hold the opening ceremony of the newly created ‘Miro Nara Garden’ on the 29th.
The ‘Miro Nara Garden,’ opening on the 29th, is equipped with play facilities such as a mini zipline and car racing (mini cars) for children. In addition, there are walking trails and community gardens where visitors can enjoy and heal in the excellent forests of Miro-myeon, including a contemplation garden, stone wall maze, and ecological garden, making it a new attraction for tourists visiting Samcheok with their families.

Equipped with glamping facilities, a mini zipline, and mini car racing that children can also enjoy, it is expected to become a healing spot for families. Above all, the glamping site, consisting of seven dome houses, is equipped with clean and convenient auxiliary facilities, which is expected to increase the satisfaction of travelers who come to feel the clean air and nature of the rural area and to heal.
‘Miro Nara Garden’ was created in Naemiro-ri 642 and Gocheon-ri areas of Miro-myeon, Samcheok City, Gangwon Province. Since the project was selected as a village community garden contest project by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety in 2016, a total of about 3.28 billion won combining national and city funds has been invested to develop it as a themed garden.
The opening ceremony on the 29th will be attended by Mayor Park Sang-su of Samcheok City and other guests, with various pre-ceremony events such as Samulnori and Nanta performances planned.
Samcheok City plans to officially welcome tourists by entrusting the operation of ‘Miro Nara Garden’ to the village community ‘Dutasan Agricultural Cooperative Corporation.’
A Samcheok City official stated, “We aim to secure a new growth engine for the local community by creating garden-type tourism facilities in a place where you can enjoy the clean natural environment of Miro-myeon,” and added, “We hope families in need of healing from Seoul and the metropolitan area will have a pleasant time at Miro Nara Garden.”
