Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) announced that it has established and is actively operating the Moa Center at the Park Misarang Community Center in Siheung 3-dong.

The Moa Center (Community Management Office) is a facility that provides life-oriented public services to alleviate inconveniences faced by vulnerable groups living in areas densely populated with detached houses and multi-family housing.

The main services include local safety management such as patrolling parks and schools, hazardous material removal, safe return home services, as well as providing convenience in daily life through cleaning and facility management.

Additionally, for vulnerable residential groups, the center supports life environment improvement services such as replacing old multi-outlet power strips to prevent fires, installing anti-slip pads in bathrooms, and checking on the well-being of elderly residents.

It has managed residents' inconveniences by providing over 250 public services ranging from simple home repairs to improving the living environment of residents suffering from hoarding tendencies, with particularly high satisfaction among elderly people living alone.

The district has created public jobs by hiring 11 residents facing employment difficulties as community management office workers.

Yu Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, “The Moa Center will serve as a helping hand for residents in areas densely populated with detached houses,” and added, “We will strive to provide customized services to resolve the daily inconveniences of residents in low-rise residential areas.”
