As Part of New Business Venture Beyond Home Shopping Channel
Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 26th that it has signed an exclusive domestic distribution rights contract for the French fashion brand ‘AIGLE’ and will actively expand its overseas brand distribution business.
Lotte Homeshopping signed the distribution rights contract with AIGLE at its Yeongdeungpo headquarters the day before. Attendees included Kim Jaegyeom, CEO of Lotte Homeshopping; Kang Jaejun, Head of Channel Division; Yoon Jihwan, Head of Product Development Division; Didier Mou, Chairman of MF Brands Group, the parent company of AIGLE; Thierry Giber, CEO; and Val?rie Dassier, CEO of AIGLE. Through this contract, which took about 11 months to finalize, Lotte Homeshopping secured exclusive domestic distribution rights for AIGLE for up to five years.

The first launch will take place on the 27th through a pop-up store at the Jamsil Lotte Avenuel World Tower branch. To commemorate the brand’s 171st anniversary, they will showcase over 80 types of apparel and accessories, including eight limited-edition rubber boots produced in collaboration with famous artists. In the future, sales channels will be expanded in various forms such as flagship stores in hot places and select shops.
The 171-year-old French brand AIGLE is a functional casual brand under MF Brands Group, which owns global brands such as Lacoste and GANT. It is famous for handcrafted natural rubber boots made by French artisans and stylish apparel. Since 2022, when designers from the Parisian designer brand ‘Etudes Studio’ joined as creative directors and renewed the brand with a casual concept, AIGLE has established itself as a brand favored by younger generations in the global market.
Lotte Homeshopping is developing an import business that acquires distribution rights for overseas fashion brands and distributes them domestically as one of its future growth engines. Unlike previous import or distribution rights contracts aimed at home shopping sales, it established a dedicated organization called the ‘Global Sourcing Team’ last year to discover popular brands domestically and internationally, secure business rights contracts, and distribute them in Korea. In June, it secured exclusive distribution rights for the French fashion watch brand ‘LAPS’ and launched it exclusively. The brand received a positive response from customers, selling 1,700 sets within 30 minutes during the launch broadcast on Lotte Homeshopping’s own channel, and is expanding sales channels to external platforms such as fashion specialty malls and select shops.
Kim Jaegyeom, CEO of Lotte Homeshopping, said, “As part of our overseas brand distribution business, we have exclusively secured the business rights for the functional casual brand AIGLE, which has established itself as a popular brand in the global market, and will introduce it to domestic consumers. We plan to continuously discover competitive global brands and strengthen our capabilities as a ‘multi-channel product provider’ by showcasing them across various sales channels.”
