Gyeonggi-do Job Foundation Holds Ceremony for Awarding Certificates to Excellent Companies in Labor Safety and Health
Supports Selected Companies' Labor Environment Improvement Costs...Conducts Industrial Safety and Health Education for Employers
Gyeonggi Province held the "2024 Gyeonggi Province Occupational Safety and Health Excellent Company Certification Ceremony" on the 25th at the Novotel Ambassador located in Suwon City. Gyeonggi Province conducted certification and awards for 30 small-scale companies in the province that achieved excellent results in the field of occupational safety and health this year.
On the 25th, Gyeonggi Province held the ‘2024 Gyeonggi Province Occupational Safety and Health Excellent Company Certification Ceremony’ at the Novotel Ambassador located in Suwon City. About 70 people attended the ceremony, including Kim Seong-jung, the 1st Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province, Yoon Deok-ryong, CEO of the Gyeonggi Job Foundation, representatives and officials of the excellent occupational safety and health companies.
The Occupational Safety and Health Excellent Company Certification Project grants certification to small-scale companies with fewer than 50 employees that have consistently practiced and made efforts in the field of occupational safety and health, and supports these companies in improving their environments. The project aims to encourage voluntary industrial accident prevention activities among companies in the province.
This year, a total of 30 companies that scored highly in evaluations on industrial accident rates, the establishment status of safety management plans, participation in safety and health education, and risk assessments were selected as the final certification recipients.
The 30 companies finally selected were awarded certificates and plaques of occupational safety and health excellence, and depending on their evaluation grades, labor environment improvement costs ranging from 3 million to 5 million KRW were provided.
Among the 30 companies selected this time, Komotek Co., Ltd., Biovizju, and Damayopack were recognized for complying with safety and health obligations and actively preventing industrial accidents to create a safe working environment for workers. The company representatives received commendations from the Governor of Gyeonggi Province, and appreciation was expressed for the efforts of the related personnel.
Additionally, at the ceremony, an ‘Education on the Serious Accident Punishment Act for Creating a Safe Workplace’ was conducted for representatives and officials of the excellent occupational safety and health companies, providing attendees with an opportunity to raise safety awareness at workplaces and deepen their understanding of related laws.
Kim Seong-jung, the 1st Deputy Governor of Gyeonggi Province, said, “I hope you will continue to pay attention and make efforts to prevent safety accidents in industrial sites,” and added, “We will actively support making Gyeonggi Province safer and free from industrial accidents.”
