The Sefung Industrial Complex is a general industrial complex being developed by the Gwangyang Economic Authority over a total area of 2.42 million square meters in the Gwangyang-eup area. The first phase development site of 470,000 square meters was completed in 2018 through private development. The remaining land is planned to be developed step-by-step through public development by 2030.

The Gwangyang Economic Authority fosters stronger ties with local residents through various volunteer activities such as annual environmental cleanup efforts and visits to welfare facilities. In the first half of this year, they conducted an environmental cleanup along the Seocheon riverside, providing a pleasant living environment for residents near the Gwangyang Economic Authority.

A representative of the Gwangyang Economic Authority stated, “We had the opportunity to provide a pleasant environment for employees of companies located in the industrial complex and local residents by collecting abandoned trash within the complex,” and added, “We will continue to promote various volunteer activities that contribute to the local community.”
