Until the 24th of next month
Anseong City in Gyeonggi Province will hold a slogan contest for '2025 East Asia Cultural City Anseong' from the 30th of this month to the 24th of next month, ahead of the East Asia Cultural City exchange event hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism next year.
The contest theme is 'Expressing the Future of Anseong Growing through Exchange with East Asia.' The focus is on capturing the purpose and significance of Anseong, the first city in Gyeonggi Province to be selected as an East Asia Cultural City.
Anyone in the public can participate in the contest, and submissions can be made via mobile (QR), email, visit, or mail. Prize money will be awarded as follows: Grand Prize (1 person) 1,000,000 KRW, Excellence Prize (2 people) 500,000 KRW each, and Encouragement Prize (2 people) 250,000 KRW each. Winning entries will be used to promote the '2025 East Asia Cultural City' project.

Korea, China, and Japan have been selecting representative cities from each country annually and holding cultural and artistic cooperation and exchange events throughout the year since the 2012 Cultural Ministers' Meeting agreement. For next year's East Asia Cultural Cities, four cities have been selected: Anseong City, Macau Special Administrative Region and Huzhou City in China, and Kamakura City in Japan.
