Agreement on Pilot Operation Support Project with Shinhan Bank on the 25th
Delivery Fee and Discount Coupon Support for Local Small Business Franchisees of Ttaenggyeoyo
Chuncheon City, Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province (Mayor Yuk Dong-han) announced on the 25th that it will support delivery fees and discount coupons for local franchise stores of the delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ operated by Shinhan Bank. Through this, Chuncheon City plans to increase the number of ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ franchise stores, which have relatively low brokerage fees, and thereby alleviate the management burden on small business owners.
According to Chuncheon City, at 3:30 PM on the 25th, Chuncheon City and Shinhan Bank will sign an agreement for the pilot operation support project of the public-private partnership delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ in the reception room of Chuncheon City Hall.
This agreement also involves the Chuncheon branch of the Korea Foodservice Industry Association, the Chuncheon branch of the Small Business Federation, and the Chuncheon Youth Small Business Association as cooperating organizations to enhance the promotional effect and ensure smooth implementation of the project.
‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ is a delivery app operated by Shinhan Bank since January 2022. It has no entry fees or advertising fees, and the brokerage fee is only 2%. Currently, the number of ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ franchise stores in Chuncheon is 726, with 14,171 registered users.
Until now, Chuncheon City operated the public delivery app ‘Bulleobomnae’ in January 2021 to support small business owners. Later, in January 2022, it began integrated operation with ‘Ildansikyeo,’ a Gangwon-do type public-private partnership delivery app, and ended operations in October 2023. It was evaluated that the efficiency was low compared to the budget input for public app operation, and the influx of franchise stores and users was insufficient.
Accordingly, Chuncheon City plans to join hands with Shinhan Bank to expand the number of ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ franchise stores in Chuncheon. According to the agreement, a pilot operation will be conducted from October 1 to December 31.
Users of ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ Chuncheon franchise stores will be issued a 3,000 KRW delivery fee coupon per order without any limit on the number of times. Additionally, delivery orders can be placed using Chuncheon Love Gift Certificates. Users who link with the Chuncheon Love Gift Certificates will receive two additional 5,000 KRW coupons. Through this, the number of franchise stores will be increased to 922, and the number of registered users will be expanded to 20,000.
A Chuncheon City official said, “We hope that citizens will use the public-private partnership delivery app ‘Ttaenggyeoyo’ a lot through the pilot operation,” adding, “Activating the use of delivery apps with low fees will help protect small business owners and revitalize the local economy.”
