Icheon Hospital, Self-Support Center, and Home Welfare Center Sign Business Agreement
Support for Discharged Patients Including Outpatient Care, Meals, and Household Assistance
On the 25th, Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it will implement a 'Home Medical Aid Service' project for long-term hospitalized medical aid recipients after discharge. To this end, the city signed a business agreement on the 24th with Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center Icheon Hospital, Icheon Regional Self-Sufficiency Center, and Yegwang Home Welfare Center.
The newly launched 'Home Medical Aid Service' by the city is a project that supports long-term hospitalized medical aid recipients with low medical needs to smoothly return and settle into the local community after discharge. The support includes medical care, meals, caregiving, and transportation services. Recipients will receive services worth 716,500 KRW per month for one year.
According to the agreement, Icheon Hospital will provide care plans, monitoring, and outpatient treatment for health management to the recipients. The Icheon Regional Self-Sufficiency Center will handle side dish delivery through the 'Orecipe' business. At Yegwang Home Welfare Center, care workers will visit homes to provide driver support and nursing care services.
Icheon City stated, "There have been many cases where long-term hospitalized medical aid recipients found it difficult to be discharged because there was no caregiver to look after them at home," and added, "We plan to continuously support the smooth establishment of this project through this agreement."
