E-Land Museum Opens 'MLB Pocha Popup Store'
Star Player Collections Including Ryu Hyun-jin and Ichiro
E-Land Museum announced on the 25th that it will hold an exhibition of Major League Baseball (MLB) memorabilia to commemorate the opening of the 'MLB Pocha Popup Store' for three days starting from the 27th.
This exhibition will be held in collaboration with MLB at the 'MLB Pocha Popup Store' located in 'Y173' in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. Among the 100,000 baseball collections owned by E-Land Museum, more than 11 items of memorabilia such as uniforms, signed balls, and baseball bats from legendary players who played for prestigious American professional baseball teams will be on display.
Notable players featured include ▲Ryu Hyun-jin ▲Suzuki Ichiro ▲Randy Johnson ▲Jimmy Rollins ▲Jim Thome ▲Derek Jeter ▲Manny Machado ▲Carlos Correa ▲Salvador Perez ▲Alex Gordon ▲Eric Hosmer, among others. Especially on display are Ryu Hyun-jin's LA Dodgers game-worn jersey from his 2013 MLB debut season and Suzuki Ichiro's New York Yankees game-worn jersey from the 2013 season when he achieved a combined total of 4,000 hits in both the U.S. and Japan.
The MLB Pocha Popup Store was fully booked online on the day reservations opened on Naver Place. Only a limited number of seats are available for on-site visitors. An official from E-Land Museum stated, "We have gathered items capturing legendary moments of MLB star players in one place to allow visitors to experience the thrill and emotion of the Major Leagues." They added, "E-Land Museum plans to continue collaborative exhibitions both domestically and internationally by utilizing its collection of over 500,000 items across various fields including sports, fashion, and entertainment."
