In Brazil, a bus overturn accident involving a football team resulted in three deaths, and a controversy arose when a man appeared behind a reporter broadcasting live from the accident scene and started dancing. It was later revealed that the man was MC Livinho, a famous Brazilian influencer and singer, which led to even greater criticism.
On the 22nd (local time), the Associated Press reported, "A bus carrying 45 people, including a Brazilian football team, overturned on a road south of Rio de Janeiro the previous day, resulting in three deaths and at least 12 injuries." According to Brazilian media g1 and others, the three deceased were Daniel Cross, Lucas Barros, and Lucas Padilha, players of the football team 'Coritiba Crocodiles' from the southern Brazilian city of Curitiba. They were on their way to Rio de Janeiro to participate in a football championship at the time of the accident. The game scheduled for that day was canceled due to the accident. Coritiba Crocodiles issued a statement saying, "Our hearts are filled with sorrow, and we ask everyone to send prayers and positive energy." They added, "Facing this tragedy, we are focusing all our efforts on supporting our team members and their loved ones."
Before the public's sorrow over the accident could subside, a famous singer's thoughtless behavior during a live broadcast became a bigger issue. While a reporter from local media RJ1 was delivering the news live in front of the camera, MC Livinho, a Brazilian influencer and singer with 13.45 million followers, suddenly jumped behind the reporter. MC Livinho waved his hand at the camera and started dancing enthusiastically, shocking viewers. Despite gestures from the scene signaling him to stop, he did not cease his actions.
As the live broadcast footage spread, social media was flooded with criticism such as, "There must have been ambulances around; how could he not realize it was a serious report?", "He really seems thoughtless," and "An inconsiderate person intruding on a terrible tragedy." As the controversy grew, MC Livinho apologized through a video, saying, "I was stuck in traffic at the time and did not know an accident had occurred. I thought it was just a traffic report." He added, "When I went online, fans told me it was an accident. I offer my condolences to everyone who was at the accident scene."
