According to Buan-gun on the 24th, this festival will be held under the theme "Rediscovering Gomso, Jeotgal for Everyone" at a special event venue in front of the Gomso Jeotgal Fermentation Food Center. It aims to offer visitors a new and interesting experience by attempting unique changes.

The festival will present a differentiated stage from the opening ceremony. Moving away from the usual performances centered on famous trot singers, the festival will feature the musical "Joseon Chef Hansang-gung," "Shocking Night Gunjo Crew," and singer Yoon Suhyun, offering a unique performance.

"Joseon Chef Hansang-gung" is an audience participation performance popular in Jeonju Hanok Village, specially adapted for this festival to present content exclusive to the Gomso Jeotgal Festival.

On the second day, October 4, the festival will expand its scope by targeting children guests. At 2 p.m., a dance party with Pinkfong and Ttuntteun Teacher will be held on the main stage, while behind the center in the Sanggwaengi Zone, Performer Hoon will present a balloon show at 1 p.m., followed by a piano quartet performance by Quartet Amigo at 4 p.m.

On the final day, October 5, a competition featuring talented trot singers will take place on the "Tomorrow I Will Be a Trot King" stage, followed by the festival's highlight, the "Gomso Yutnori Tournament."

During the festival, Kang Ji-young, Korea’s first jeotgal sommelier, will operate kimchi and jeotgal experience sessions, shrimp catching experiences, salting experiences, and ESG craft programs with visitors. Sales of Buan agricultural specialties, seafood, and Gomso salt will also be available, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of jeotgal and local products.

The festival preparation committee has made ambitious preparations to help tourists enjoy Gomso, the home of jeotgal, more comfortably. For tourists who travel far to Gomso, jeotgal and fish sauce will be sold at a 20% discount during the festival period.

The food night stalls will operate until 9 p.m., offering a variety of local foods such as fresh seafood and dried fish. Additionally, on the 4th, a promotional MOU was signed with the local landmark Seulji Bakery. The Jeonbuk Christian Federation, Buan-gun Christian Federation, and the festival committee have signed a business agreement to promote kimchi culture and are pursuing various cooperative measures.

Park Jin-sung, chairman of the Gomso Jeotgal Festival Promotion Committee, said, "This year’s Gomso Jeotgal Festival is composed of programs that widely promote local specialties and traditional culture and can be enjoyed by people of all ages." He added, "We will do our best to ensure a safe and comfortable festival until the end so that visitors can create joyful memories and return home."
