The Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education is holding a digital citizenship education seminar for teachers to prevent digital crimes and establish a safe and healthy digital life for students.
The Office of Education announced on the 24th that next month, it will hold three special lectures and discussions for teachers on three topics: ▲Digital Safety and Prevention of Youth Digital Crimes (8th, Southern Office) ▲Deepfake and Ethical Use of Artificial Intelligence (15th, Northern Office) ▲Media Communication and Our Children Online (22nd, online).
The special lectures will feature Lawyer Hwang In-hyung (Dongcheon Foundation), Professor Kim Myung-joo from Seoul Women's University, and Dr. Kim Ami (media literacy researcher).
To minimize time and space constraints and increase teacher participation, the Office of Education will conduct the first and second sessions via live YouTube streaming, and the third session online.
Teachers and educational professionals wishing to participate can apply by scanning the QR code on the information notice by the 27th of this month.
Kim Tae-seok, Director of Future Education at the Office of Education, said, "We hope to explore practical applications for preventing digital crimes through the digital citizenship education seminar," adding, "We will strengthen digital citizenship education so that students grow up with ethical awareness and responsibility in the digital environment."
