Police: "Both Male and Female Tested Positive for Drugs"
A couple in their 20s who voluntarily reported to the police after consuming jelly containing narcotic substances at a club in Seoul was arrested on the spot.
The Seongdong Police Station in Seoul arrested and is investigating a man in his 20s, Mr. A, and a woman, Ms. B, on the 23rd for violating the Narcotics Control Act. It is known that Ms. B called the police from her residence after eating 'drug jelly' at a club in Seocho-gu, Seoul, around 4 a.m. on the 19th.
Ms. B reported to the police, "I ate the jelly given by my boyfriend (Mr. A), and my head hurts," adding, "I think I took drugs." When the police arrived, Mr. A denied it, saying, "It was a joke," but when the police questioned Ms. B, she showed suspicious behavior such as rambling, indicating possible drug use.
The police secured a statement indicating "drug use" and found evidence related to drug consumption in a trash can. According to a police official, both Mr. A and Ms. B tested positive for drugs in a preliminary reagent test, and the police have requested a detailed examination from the National Forensic Service.
