In the second quarter of this year, Seohui Construction posted sales of 407.6 billion KRW and an operating profit of 63.7 billion KRW. With an operating profit margin of 15.63%, it ranks at the top level in the industry. As of the first half of the year, its debt ratio stands at 75.69%, maintaining one of the lowest levels in the industry. Despite the construction industry being hit hard by rising construction costs since 2022, Seohui Construction has demonstrated sound financial health.
Seohui Construction is a construction company that shows strength in regional housing association projects, known as Jiju-taek, under the apartment brand 'Seohui Starhills.' It is considered a leader in the Jiju-taek industry. Its construction capability ranking for 2024 rose two places from the previous year to 18th. As of the second quarter, the construction sector accounts for 89% of its business, with a particularly high proportion in housing projects. Recently, as the 'spring of apartments' has arrived in the metropolitan area, construction companies with a high housing proportion are gaining attention in the market.
Seohui Construction will begin construction of the 'Onam Station Starhills' Phase 3 complex this month. Located in Namyangju, Gyeonggi Province, Onam Station Seohui Starhills is being developed in three phases: Phase 1 with 1,308 households, Phase 2 with 1,080 households, and Phase 3 with 1,056 households, totaling 3,444 households in a large complex. Phase 1 construction is expected in November this year, and Phase 2 in March next year.
