Over 1,000 Citizens Attend
Yangju City held the "Yangju City Choir Park Concert" on the outdoor stage at Dokbawi Park on the 21st. Gyeonggi Yangju City (Mayor Kang Su-hyun) announced on the 23rd that it held the ‘Yangju City Choir Park Concert’ at the Dokbawi Park outdoor stage on the 21st.
The concert, the first held since the creation of the Dokbawi Park outdoor stage, was held under the theme ‘Park Concert Full of Starlight’ and was successfully concluded with the participation of about 1,000 Yangju citizens.
The performance, which began celebrating Yangju’s selection as the site for the ‘Gyeonggi Northeast Innovative Public Medical Center’ on the 11th, featured a high-quality program including ▲ drama OST ‘Reply 1988 Medley’ ▲ Do you feel the rhythm ▲ Dream of the Octopus ▲ One Candle, and a selection of nostalgic 80s and 90s popular songs, movie music, hip-hop, and jazz, providing a harmonious time with the citizens.
Mayor Kang Su-hyun said, “I thank the citizens for their support and participation in this meaningful concert, the first held since the creation of the Dokbawi Park outdoor stage, and I will continue to strive to provide opportunities for citizens to enjoy culture and arts here frequently.”
Meanwhile, on October 10th at 7:30 PM, the Yangju City Symphony Orchestra will hold a park concert at the Dokbawi Park outdoor stage. The orchestra will perform classical masterpieces born on the fringes of classical music, including the overture of Bernstein’s opera ‘Candide,’ one of the most famous conductors of the 20th century, along with in-depth commentary by conductor Park Seung-yu.
