Paddleboard Design Inspired by Korean Motifs Gains Popularity Through Professor-Student Collaboration
Professor Kim Jongki and students from the Companion Animal Industry Design major at Tongmyong University recently unveiled paddleboard designs inspired by Hangul in Mongolia to promote the spread of K-sports culture.
Dreamscope and the Korea Association of Paddle Surf Professionals (KAPP) participated in the ‘Korea K-Tourism Roadshow in Ulaanbaatar,’ where professors and students from Tongmyong University rode the paddleboards they designed themselves and enjoyed K-sports together with Mongolian citizens.
Kwon Hyerim, a student majoring in Companion Animal Industry Design, said, “I will also strive to develop paddleboards and various sports equipment designs that can be used together with companion animals.”
This ‘Korea K-Tourism Roadshow in Ulaanbaatar (2024 KOREA WEEK & K-TOURISM ROADSHOW)’ was hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Tourism Organization, and was held in Mongolia from August 30 to September 2.
