RaonMeta Opens 'Metaverse Drone Control Practice Content'... Targeting B2C Market

Raon Meta, a subsidiary of Raon Secure, is expanding its business by targeting the B2C (business-to-consumer) market with metaverse-based practical training content.

Raon Meta (CEO Lee Soon-hyung), a company specializing in generative AI-based metaverse platforms, officially launched the metaverse-based practical training service Metademy’s “Drone (ultra-light flying device) pilot license practical training content” and entered the B2C market.

Starting with the drone (ultra-light flying device) pilot license practical training content, Raon Meta plans to sequentially offer practical training content previously provided only as B2B (business-to-business) through Metademy?such as laboratory animal autopsy, nursing skills, physical therapy, caregiving, and IT security?to the B2C market.

Drones face significant restrictions as many urban areas are designated as no-fly or restricted zones, allowing flights only in suburban areas or specific spaces, which imposes considerable time and space constraints for drone flying. Additionally, obtaining a license administered by the Korea Transportation Safety Authority requires high training costs and offers limited practical training opportunities.

Metademy’s drone (ultra-light flying device) pilot license practical training content enables users to experience realistic flight scenarios anytime and anywhere within the metaverse, applying actual terrain features such as urban, mountainous, and coastal areas to simulate various flight situations. This helps users develop practical skills identical to real drone piloting. Moreover, it allows safe practice without risks such as crashes or collisions that may occur during actual drone operation.

The service provides a step-by-step curriculum tailored to the practical exams for one of the four types of drone (ultra-light flying device) pilot licenses, covering up to types 1 and 2. Customers can freely purchase usage passes for 3 months, 6 months, or 1 year as needed to practice drone piloting.
