Daedoyeonrip, Creating an Open Street Environment with a Rest Yard in the Street Block
Geumcheon-gu (District Mayor Yoo Seong-hoon) announced that the Daedo Yeonrip small-scale reconstruction project implementation plan has passed the Seoul Metropolitan Government's 15th Architectural Committee review.
Daedo Yeonrip in Siheung-dong, near Seoksu Station on Subway Line 1, will be transformed from the existing 100 households into a total of 200 households, consisting of two buildings with 3 basement floors and 25 above-ground floors apartment complex.
The project site is a 10-minute walk from Seoksu Station on Subway Line 1, and Seoksu IC is nearby, making it easy to travel to other areas. Additionally, Anyangcheon Stream flows nearby, and Gwanaksan and Samseongsan Mountains provide a pleasant residential environment.
This project implementation plan includes creating an urban landscape that harmonizes with Anyangcheon and surrounding buildings, providing an open street environment by constructing pilotis (columns) on the ground floor and a resting yard on the east side (street zone) within the complex.
Also, on the north side, a street environment has been planned utilizing the open space inside the site so that pedestrians and residents can enjoy a safe and comfortable walking environment.
Besides the Daedo Yeonrip small-scale reconstruction project, the district is promoting small-scale housing maintenance projects to efficiently improve aging residential areas where large-scale development is difficult.
The Cheonggiwa Family street housing maintenance project in the area of 937-11, Siheung 3-dong, passed the Seoul City integrated review last February and is expected to include 283 apartment units.
The Seoksu Villa small-scale reconstruction project at 1004, Siheung 3-dong, received project implementation plan approval last August and is expected to be reborn as a new apartment complex with 87 households.
Yoo Seong-hoon, Mayor of Geumcheon-gu, stated, “With the approval of the Daedo Yeonrip small-scale reconstruction project implementation plan, we expect it to contribute to the development of the deteriorated Siheung-dong and the creation of a pleasant residential environment.” He added, “We will continue to devote all efforts to housing development projects to provide good residential environments for residents.”
