On Saturday the 21st, the entire country will be cloudy with heavy rain.

Rain will fall in the Seoul metropolitan area and inland Gangwon until late afternoon, in the Chungcheong and Jeolla regions until evening, and in the Gyeongsang region until night. Rain will continue on the eastern coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon, the northeastern mountainous areas of North Gyeongsang, and the northern eastern coast of North Gyeongsang until the night of the 22nd, and in Jeju until the early morning of the 23rd.

Expected rainfall amounts are 30 to 80 mm in the eastern coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, Chungnam, Chungbuk, Gwangju, Jeonnam, Jeonbuk, and Daegu, Gyeongbuk (with heavier amounts of 100 mm or more in the eastern coast and mountainous areas of Gangwon, Daejeon, Sejong, southern Chungnam, southern Jeonnam coast, Jeonbuk, and the southern eastern coast of Gyeongbuk reaching 120 mm or more), and 30 to 100 mm in Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam (with heavier amounts exceeding 180 mm). Southern Gyeonggi and Jeju are expected to receive 20 to 60 mm (with heavier amounts of 120 mm or more in the mid-mountain and mountainous areas of Jeju), Seoul, Incheon, and northern Gyeonggi 5 to 30 mm, inland Gangwon 5 to 50 mm, and Ulleungdo and Dokdo 10 to 60 mm of rain.

There will also be places with strong rain accompanied by gusts of wind, thunder, and lightning. Since the night of the 19th, heavy rain has fallen nationwide, and on this day, Chungcheong and Jeju will experience very heavy and intense rain of 30 to 50 mm per hour until daytime, and Jeolla until afternoon, so caution is required to prevent safety accidents.

As of 5 a.m. on this day, temperatures in major areas are as follows: Seoul 17.4°C, Incheon 17.7°C, Suwon 18.0°C, Chuncheon 16.3°C, Gangneung 18.3°C, Cheongju 19.7°C, Daejeon 23.0°C, Jeonju 25.6°C, Gwangju 25.5°C, Jeju 26.8°C, Daegu 20.8°C, Busan 25.0°C, Ulsan 20.2°C, Changwon 26.0°C. The daytime high temperature is forecasted to be between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius.

For the time being, morning temperatures will be higher than the average (12 to 19°C), but daytime temperatures will be 3 to 5 degrees lower than the previous day, similar to the average (23 to 27°C).

Fine dust levels will be 'good' nationwide due to smooth atmospheric dispersion and the effects of precipitation.
