Integrity Pledge Campaign and Environmental Cleanup Activities... Promoting Eradication of Passive Administration, Active Administration, and Public Interest Reporting

The Busan City Audit Committee held the "Cheongnyeom VIBE (VIBE)" Clean Walking Event for the city and district/county integrity alliance club at Hwamyeong Ecological Park at 3 p.m. on the 20th.

"Clean Busan! Honest Busan!"... 'Cheongnyeom Vibe' Cheongnyeom Sseudam Walking Event Held Busan City Hall.

'Clean Walking' is a pure Korean term for 'plogging,' which means picking up trash while jogging. It refers to the activity of collecting and carrying trash while walking. It is gaining popularity because it promotes both health and environmental care at the same time.

This event was organized to establish an integrity cooperation partnership between metropolitan and basic local governments and to raise the overall integrity level in Busan. About 100 members of the city and district/county integrity clubs participated.

The event mainly consisted of ▲ the 'Integrity Practice Pledge Campaign' and ▲ 'Environmental Cleanup' activities. The campaign promoted the eradication of passive administration, the activation of proactive administration, and the encouragement of public interest reporting.

In May, the city pledged to strive to make Busan the number one city for proactive administration at the "Transparent and Vibrant Global Hub City Busan" integrity declaration ceremony, which was attended by 22 public institutions in the Busan area. Since then, various policies have been implemented to foster a proactive administrative organizational culture.

The city's integrity club 'Cheongnyeom Galmaegi' and the integrity clubs of nine districts/counties formed the alliance 'Cheongnyeom VIBE (VIBE)' in July.

The nine districts/counties are Seo-gu, Dong-gu, Busanjin-gu, Dongnae-gu, Nam-gu, Buk-gu, Geumjeong-gu, Gangseo-gu, and Yeonje-gu.

'Cheongnyeom VIBE,' planned to foster a culture of integrity within the public sector and lead the overall integrity of Busan, is composed of MZ generation employees from the city and the nine districts/counties. Next year, the scope will be expanded to include more districts/counties.

The city’s integrity club 'Cheongnyeom Galmaegi' was voluntarily formed by employees in 2016 and has since contributed to establishing a culture of integrity within the organization through various promotional activities such as integrity plays, integrity song production, and integrity campaigns.

Jang Wantak, the city's integrity officer, stated, "This year, the city, districts/counties, and public institutions are working together to establish a cooperative integrity relationship across Busan, aiming for a simultaneous increase in integrity levels. We will do our best to elevate Busan's integrity to a level befitting a 'global hub city.'"
